Hey friends!! Remember how I mentioned a while back that I hate sewing…? I know, I know, hate is a strong word, but man, sewing is not my favorite!! Which is why I shared my lazy girl’s guide on how to DIY your throw pillows fast! Trust me, if you don’t like sewing, but like to save a few bucks, this is the way to do it! Well, today I’m sharing the easiest way ever to DIY outdoor pillows!
DIY Outdoor Pillows
Thanks to my sponsor, Phifer Incorporated, for supplying the free product to help me write this post today!! The opinions shared in this post are 100% my own. For more information, see my disclosures here.
I was able to parter with Phifer Incorporated for this fun project! Phifer has some amazing outdoor fabrics (and other outdoor products too!) with lot’s of different colors and patterns to choose from.
The best part about choosing to work with Phifer is their Phifer Outdoor Fabric Visualizer. This tool is amazing! You can actually see their different fabrics in a patio setting and change them up however you wish! All I had to do was click on the cushion to see what it would look like in a different fabric I was also interested in. It was super fun to mix and match different colors and patterns. And if you know me, you know I love a good pattern!!
DIY Outdoor Cushions
Once I narrowed down my favorite fabric options for my DIY outdoor pillows, I was ready to order! I LOVE the houndstooth pattern I chose. It’s such a classic pattern that will never go out of style! I was a little worried that my sewing machine wouldn’t be able to handle sewing outdoor fabric, but it was a breeze! My little machine handled it without any problems at all!
How to Make Outdoor Cushions
I followed the same exact steps I did when making my DIY Throw Pillows the Lazy Way. Check it out right here for the exact breakdown of each step. It’s really super easy!
The only thing I did differently here was pin the edges after I inserted the pillow, just to keep it in place a bit better.
I absolutely love how my DIY outdoor pillows turned out! I know we’ll be using these for years to come! Be sure to check out Phifer’s amazing fabrics for your summer projects! You’re gonna love the Phifer Outdoor Fabric Visualizer! (It’s addicting…!)
Happy decorating friend!
Outdoor patios are really cool additions to your home. For me, one of the best fixtures for a patio is an outdoor fireplace since it gives warmth to the patio during the winter season.
