(Modern) Oversized Christmas Wreath DIY
You guys, this is it. This is the DIY large modern Christmas wreath we’ve all been dreaming of! Let me show you how easy (and cheap) it is to make! You’re going to be obsessed 🙂
I love anything oversized. Big earrings, big hair, big throw pillows, big wall art….you get the idea.
So when I saw a picture for a gorgeous, oversized Christmas wreath, I knew I wanted it!
But I also knew I didn’t want to fork over all the money for it 😉
So I filed it away in the back of my head and even asked Sam if he could somehow make a large hoop for me out of steel.
Aaaaaaaaand, also if that would be cheap…haha 😉
Then, last month as I was strolling through Hobby Lobby, inspiration hit.
(Of course, I mean it’s Hobby Lobby!)
I had NO idea they made embroidery hoops that were SO BIG!
Like, waaaaay oversized and perfect for my wreath I’ve been wanting to do!
So I grabbed that hoop and made my Christmas wreath dreams come true.
How to Make a Modern Christmas Wreath
Here are the supplies you’ll need to make this gorgeous modern Christmas wreath:
- 2 pine stems

How to Make a Cheap Christmas Wreath Step by Step
Step 1:
Spray paint your hoop. I did a couple of coats.
Step 2:
When the hoop is dry, arrange your pine stems how you like them. I had mine overlap a bit so there wouldn’t be a gap.
Step 3:
Use the wire to secure them in place.
And that.is.it.
Whaaaaat?
Large Christmas Wreath Over Fireplace
I am totally in love with how this wreath turned out!
It is everything I was hoping for, and I love it over my fireplace!
(But let’s be honest, it would look amazing anywhere you put it 😉
I love neutral colors-not only in what I wear (!), but in all my decorating.
And you know what? I’m happy with it!
I love how the black pops with all the cream and white.
