Modern Farmhouse Bedroom

The focal point of any bedroom is the bed! So, if you want to make a big impact when you decorate your own modern farmhouse bedroom, start with the bed! I like a simple, clean look and chose this beautiful grey quilt. I love it because it fits so nicely on our king size bed! It’s not too thick—my husband sleeps very hot! So, it works well for us.

Farmhouse Bedding

One trick I use when I’m decorating my modern farmhouse bedroom, is to find stylish pillow cases and use those as my decorative pillows. It’s generally cheaper to buy some pillow cases, plus, I really like to change things up, and I don’t feel so bad when I buy a couple new pillow cases, versus a whole new bedding set!

Farmhouse Bedroom Decorating Ideas

One of my tips on decorating like a designer, is to find ways to layer as you decorate. Layering adds depth and interest! So, I added a throw at the bottom of our bed that helps to break up the large bedspread.

I added some texture with the trays I hung over our nightstands. I love the simple look and modern farmhouse feel that they have! Plus, I’m totally in love with my lamps! They have been perfect to have on each side of the bed.

The final touch to any modern farmhouse bedroom is the headboard! Its amazing what adding a headboard can do for the look and feel of the room. It really completes it!
